DJs Will Now Have to Charge 5% Tax
LD 1495, a compromise bill passed by the Maine Legislature and signed by Gov. John Baldacci, has forced a new tax upon those that contract DJ services within the state of Maine.

As of January 1, 2010, DJ services will be subject to a 5% sales tax.

6th Annual Convention a Rousing Success
The 6th Annual Maine Disc Jockey Network Convention was held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport, Maine.

This year's seminars included a Mobile DJ Business Calendar by Massachusetts DJ Rob Peters and an introduction to the Video DJing Frontier by Wells DJ Jerry Bazata.
